I had a lovely time yesterday colouring flowers from the pretties kit & the white taffeta ribbon which, I've concluded is a must have, as by dyeing it (so quick & easy)you have the perfect ribbon to match any project.
Inspired by
Marelle's post about 'strength in numbers' & by caseing from a glimpse of a flower on
Alisa's blog I made 3 coordinating cards. I've been wanting an opportunity to use my 'Define your Life' set & this seemed the perfect time!
Dyeing the flowers is an easy technique - I just mixed a couple of drops of refill ink with half a drop of water (depending on the colour intensity you want), I used blue bayou, old olive, really rust & purely pomegranate for the ribbon & flowers on my cards. I stamped each card background with the sanded background stamp. I added brads from the fire rhinestones to the centre of each flower. And by the time I'd created all this, it was time to get back to my jobs in the real world!
Why not give it a go?
Thanks for dropping by!
