Peaceful Garden Whimsy Make and Take

I'm relishing having the house to myself today. The silence is blissful and so is having the opportunity to stamp. I've basically CASED this card from the catalogue, just changed the colours and added a smidge of detail. It's going to be for a make and take for a workshop this week. This Garden Whimsy set is one of the new ones in the catalogue which just make it so easy to create delightful cards.

Stamps are Garden Whimsy, Occasional Greetings and Sanded (background) The card and ink is soft sky, blue bayou, whisper white and pumpkin pie. The ribbon is pumpkin pie. I've used the circle and scallop punches and finished with some paper piercing using the mat pack.

Thanks for popping by!

From The Garden - take 2!

Well, I wasn't particularly happy with my card in the previous post, so I've had another try and like this one better! I've used the same stamp set - the free hostess 'From the Garden' set. The sentiment this time is from 'It's your Birthday'
The colours are apricot appeal, pumpkin pie, old olive and certainly celery. The ribbon is pumpkin pie (I love pumpkin pie!). I've also used the mat pack to do some paper piercing to add a bit of detail....oh and just a sprinkle of dazzling diamonds this time!

And now I just need to work on my photography and photoshop skills!

Cheers!

Garden Flower

Today's card uses one of the stamps you can get free for hosting a Stampin' Up! workshop. It's called 'From The Garden' and is a great one to watercolour.
I first stamped the flower using black stazon ink onto watercolour paper. I coloured the petals and leaves with pale plum, perfect plum and old olive stampin' write markers and an aquapainter. I used a versamark pad and heat and stick powder to add the dazzling diamonds, layered onto barely banana, old olive and perfect plum cardstock and finally embellished with the rather stylish old olive ribbon 5/8" grosgrain ribbon. The sentiment is from the very versatile occasional greetings set.

Have a good weekend!

Card for a boy!

Had to quickley make a card for a party this afternoon, and of course left it until the last minute. Fortunately, I remembered a card I could CASE from Sam's blog here. I just changed the colours & it was finished in a flash.
Now I'm off to wrap the pressie!

Stamp sets used are Wild about you & Eat cake (for the sentiment). Card & ink is brilliant blue, real red & pumpkin pie.
Have a nice Sunday!

Flowers to dye for!

I had a lovely time yesterday colouring flowers from the pretties kit & the white taffeta ribbon which, I've concluded is a must have, as by dyeing it (so quick & easy)you have the perfect ribbon to match any project.
Inspired by Marelle's post about 'strength in numbers' & by caseing from a glimpse of a flower on Alisa's blog I made 3 coordinating cards. I've been wanting an opportunity to use my 'Define your Life' set & this seemed the perfect time!
Dyeing the flowers is an easy technique - I just mixed a couple of drops of refill ink with half a drop of water (depending on the colour intensity you want), I used blue bayou, old olive, really rust & purely pomegranate for the ribbon & flowers on my cards. I stamped each card background with the sanded background stamp. I added brads from the fire rhinestones to the centre of each flower. And by the time I'd created all this, it was time to get back to my jobs in the real world!

Why not give it a go?

Of 'fish'ally Bright!

My good friend & fellow SU! demonstrator Miranda sent me this bright & sunny card. She has watercoloured the fish using the bold brights colours & mounted it on bold brights cardstock. The background has been stamped using the Itty Bitty Backgrounds set.
Fishy Friends is such a great fun set to watercolour.

Thanks Miranda!
Have a good week & make some time to try some watercolouring!

Happy Mother's Day!

My card for today is for my fabulous mother-in-law!
I've used Fabulous Flowers & Occasional Greetings stamp sets (again), Fall Flowers designer series paper, Really Rust card & ink. I've added some glitz by edging the petals with the glue pen & dazzling diamonds & finished by using crystal effects to attach flat backed pretties kit pearls to the flower centres. There's also a matching envelope - woohoo!!!

Thanks for dropping by today!

Using Our Noodles!

Well, noodle boxes anyway!......... it's not easy thinking of a catchy title!
Anyway, for all of you who came to my new catalogue day yesterday, thanks for a great day & here's the chance to see your noodle box make & takes 'up in lights'!
Such a wealth of creative talent.

Garden Whimsy, Priceless & Boho backgrounds are the main stamp sets used. The colours used are generally the new in-colours which were very popular, plus Old Olive & Pumpkin Pie.

Keep up the creativity!

Happy Saturday!
