Black & White Wedding

Hi!

Well, it's taken me a while to get blogging this year!
Anyway, I was asked to make a card for a guest going to a wedding this Saturday where the bride likes black & white.


So, here's my card using the Always stamp set (which hasn't been out of it's case for a while!), well scripted,black satin ribbon & some pearls.

Stamp with Us Congratulations theme Challenge

Hello from a rainy winter's day in Perth!
In fact it's good to get rain, especially as we know it won't be long before the sun's shining again.
Anyway, enough of the weather report and on to a card I have made for the Stamp with Us weekly challenge and for friends who are about to celebrate their first wedding anniversary.

Here is my card: Stamps: SU! Cheer & wishes, Always ink: baja breeze, night of navy card: whisper white, urban garden dsp other: ribbon originals valet pg 150 of the Aus catalogue, eyelet border punch, pretties kit - rhinestone brad, non SU! polka dot cuttlebug embossing folder.
Thanks for looking..I'm off to make a nice hot cuppa!

Too late for the challenge!

Despite thinking I could roughly calculate the time difference between Western Australia & Kristina Werner's part of the world I clearly have no idea, as I have missed this week's Colour Inspiration #47 challenge. Not to worry - I loved the colour combination so am glad I gave it a go!

Here's my simple card:

The colours are chocolate chip, tangerine tango & so saffron. The stamp sets are short & sweet and Always.

I'm going to check on Makeesha's colour challenge closing date now & hope I'm on time for that!

Regionals swap card

Despite the Perth SU regional being held ages ago, I have been intending to post the swap card I made since then! I got some great ideas from some of the swaps I received. I only made 20 cards and of course wished I had made more once I was there..... must plan to make more to swap next time!

I used the Always set from the current mini, only available until the end of November & the colours are blue bayou, soft sky & pumpkin pie (card & DSP).

K Werner Inspiration #21

I missed Kristina's last challenge but couldn't resist getting back on board for this one! I used the substitute colours of tempting turquoise and old olive as we don't yet have the new US 'in colours'. Altogether a striking combination against the white.

So, here's mine using the Always set:

Kristina's Colour Inspiration #16

Yippee! These challenges are so addictive and I love them!! Kristina does such a fantastic job checking out the hundreds of links to cards - of which so many are amazing! So before I become really gushy I'd better show my card. It's a very simple design using one of the NEW (Woohoo!) stamp sets from the NEW spring/summer mini catalogue which begins on 1 August. The stamp sets in this mini catalogue are delightful (naturally!) and to make it sooo much easier are all die cut ready to mount with no cutting required. Being a demonstrator I got to take advantage of the pre-order period for demos, which is why I have this set already. And now back to the pandemonium..... which is my house during the school hols when it's raining and blowing a gale (and hail & lightning earlier, if you don't mind!) and no one can go outside (not that they don't want to go out in their bathers mind you!)
